Lab Analyst
Job Description
Tests and analyzes material (Incoming, Intermediate and finished product) utilizing laboratory equipment in a safe, sanitary, quality, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following defined methodologies to carry out analyses.
- Preparing Lab chemicals and reagents required for the analysis of sugar, molasses and intermediate products
- Performing routine as well as non-routine analysis of raw materials, intermediate and final products as per applicable ICUMSA methods.
- Performing finished product analysis of the samples collected from lot being dispatched and preparing the COA (certificate of analysis)
- Familiarize with standard analytical lab equipment operation in sugar industry.
- Analyzing Incoming raw & packaging materials as per the defined SOP.
- Calibration of lab instruments.
- Following Good Laboratory Practices in the Lab.
- Compile and record data for documentation needed for testing and reports preparation.
- Record data of analysis on computer/SAP.
- Entering results in SAP for release of incoming consignments & production lots.
