Junior Compliance and AML Analyst – Confidential Company

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Compliance & Risk manager in the preparation of statistical data for Group & Regulatory reporting.
  • Resolve compliance questions and issues raised by sales and operations.
  • Review and investigate online, offline and risk monitoring rules and assign suspicious alerts to compliance manager for further investigation.
  • Investigate and close Sanction and PEP Alerts and refer to compliance manager if required.
  • Review and approval of PEP customer declaration form and prepare the list of PEP customers every month as per PEP acceptance Policy.
  • Analysis of Know Your Customer (KYC) files and check the accuracy of data and record keeping.
  • Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence where applicable and report to compliance and Risk Manager.
  • Keep up to date the local Watch and Stop List (NCTC- National Counter-Terrorism Committee, QCB and QFIU) in the Internal monitoring system.
  • Ensure the updation of the International Sanction list in the monitoring system on time.
  • Assist in compliance and risk Manager in system development or enhancement requirement (e.g User Acceptance testing).
  • Assist in preparing monthly Compulsory reporting to the Management.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and half-yearly reports for QCB and QFIU.
  • Assist in updating the Search and freeze list received from law enforcement authorities and check the record in the system and confirm the record in the system and report to the C&R manager accordingly for timely response to authorities.
  • Assist C&R manager to prepare any ad-hoc reports received from QCB.
  • Accreditation and reaccreditation of MSB’s, MTOs, Concessionaires (Corporate clients) and Banks.
  • Assist C&R manager in preparing the requirements of Internal, External and Regulatory Audits.
  • Sanction and PEP screening for new joiners and existing employees.
  • Complete special tasks as assigned by the Compliance and Risk Manager
Desired Candidate Profile
  • CAMS certificate or AML Certification is a must.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of applicable AMLCFT laws, regulations and procedures as well as the company’s internal rules and policies on financial crime, money laundering and terrorist financing would be an advantage.
  • Ability to implement procedural changes.
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good analytical mind.
  • Good communication.
  • Demonstrated a high level of computer literacy with excellent Excel, Word and data analysis skills.
  • Flexible working arrangement on a rotating roster including weekends.
