Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Japanese Head Barista with a passion for specialty coffee to join our team at Roasters Speciality Coffee House. As a Barista specializing in specialty coffee, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages while providing outstanding customer service. Your expertise in coffee preparation and knowledge of various brewing techniques will ensure that our guests enjoy a memorable coffee experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-base milk drinks, and manual brews, according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including coffee machines, equipment, and service areas, ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.
- Educate customers on specialty coffee offerings, including origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of coffee.
- monitor and maintain inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies, Measuring availability for service and timely replenishment as needed.
- Uphold high standards of beverage quality and consistency, following proper brewing techniques and adjustments to meet customer preferences.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to expand knowledge of coffee products, brewing methods, and industry trends.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and communicating effectively with team members and management.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Barista specializing in specialty coffee, preferably in a restaurant or café setting.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasting techniques, and brewing methods, with a passion for exploring new flavors and profiles.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee brewing equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and engaging demeanor, capable of building rapport with guests and delivering personalized service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and a willingness to support colleagues.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate restaurant hours and customer demand.
