Job Description

Their role is to understand customer requirements, assess their existing infrastructure, and recommend suitable products or services. IT Infrastructure salespeople collaborate with technical experts to propose comprehensive solutions, prepare sales proposals, and deliver presentations to potential clients.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans, goals, and objectives to meet or exceed targets.
  • Team Management: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales representatives to ensure they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to achieve their goals.
  • Sales Forecasting: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to forecast sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on products or services offered by the company and maintain a deep understanding of their features, benefits, and applications.
  • Sales Operations: Manage sales operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of individual sales representatives and the team as a whole, providing feedback, coaching, and training as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, product teams, and other departments to ensure alignment and cooperation.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, procedures, and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • MBA or other advanced degree may be preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or sales management
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles
