The IT Operations Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure,

systems, and services. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, managing projects, and implementing processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of IT operations.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT operations staff. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. IT

  • Problem Management: Coordinate and resolve IT incidents and problems efficiently. Implement incident management processes and tools. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to meet project requirements. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving IT operations processes. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs). Evaluate vendor performance and address issues as needed.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Assist in the development and management of the IT operations budget. Optimize resource allocation to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency in ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
