Job Description
The IT Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and networks. They will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot IT issues, and ensure the smooth operation of all IT equipment and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of IT systems and networks, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring data security and confidentiality.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in IT technology and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system manuals and user guides.
- Train employees on the use of IT systems and software.
