Job Description

The Investment Analyst for the Family Office is responsible for conducting thorough investment research, analyzing potential investment opportunities, and supporting the overall investment decision-making process. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the investment team to achieve the family’s financial objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Investment Research and Analysis:Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments. Evaluate financial statements, industry trends, and market conditions to assess the attractiveness and risks of investment opportunities. Prepare detailed investment reports, presentations, and recommendations for the investment team and family members.
  2. Portfolio Monitoring and Management:Assist in monitoring the performance of the family's investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the investment policy and objectives. Track and report on key performance metrics, such as returns, risk, asset allocation, and liquidity. Support the rebalancing of the portfolio in response to changing market conditions and investment goals.
  3. Due Diligence:Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including meetings with company management, site visits, and consultation with industry experts. Prepare due diligence reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations to the investment committee.
  4. Market and Economic Analysis:Monitor global economic trends, financial markets, and geopolitical events to identify potential impacts on the family's investments. Provide regular updates and insights on market developments and investment opportunities.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with other members of the investment team, external advisors, and service providers to support the investment process. Communicate investment ideas and analysis clearly and effectively to the investment committee and family members.
  6. Risk Management:Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the investment portfolio. Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred from a top institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, research, or a related field, preferably within a family office, private equity firm, or investment management company.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based in Dubai.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, site visits, and due diligence activities.
