Inventory Controller
Job Description
- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability of products.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize errors.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Analyze data and generate reports to track inventory performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.
- Manage stock levels and monitor reorder points to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory transactions.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes.
- Train and supervise inventory control staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management.
- Experience in the retail or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
