Job Description
This role will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day clinical and administrative workflows within the Patient Affairs Department in coordination with the Manager. The Team Lead supervises the day-to-day activities of the Patient Affairs team to deliver patient liaison services and patient-centric care. S/He facilitates collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best patient experience. S/He ensures that escalated problems are addressed and resolved. Also, s/he provides and maintains up-to-date informational materials and resources for patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Communicates with the Patient Affairs Manager on all the departmental related matters and implements the required inputs as per the instructions from the Manager.
- Reviews International Patient Affairs policies on a regular basis and makes updates as needed focusing on continuous process improvements.
- Assists in the budget process and recommends purchase of equipment and systems.
- Supervises, develops, establishes, implements, and evaluates systems to monitor accuracy and timeliness of workflows and patient journeys.
- Coordinates international patients’ appointments and scheduling.
- Follows up on medical records and treatment plan coordination.
- Coordinates and follows up on cost of care estimates and financial counselling.
- Facilitates patients’ accessibility to health records on the patient portal.
- Facilitates pharmacy refills for post-care in the home country.
- Facilitates ambulances and transportation services.
