Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer cum Estimator with a focus on joinery to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position requires a creative and detail-oriented professional who can design aesthetically pleasing and functional interior spaces while also accurately estimating costs for joinery projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design and a comprehensive understanding of joinery materials, construction techniques, and cost estimation.
Responsibilities
Interior Design:
- Develop and present interior design concepts that align with client needs and project goals.
- Create detailed design plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
- Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure design intent is achieved.
- Stay current with design trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative solutions to projects.
- Oversee the implementation of design concepts, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
Estimating:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Review and analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine the scope of work and estimate costs accurately.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring that all cost components are covered.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and manage procurement processes.
- Monitor project budgets and provide regular cost updates and forecasts to management and clients.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering options.
