Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Review and analysis of P&ID diagrams, I/O lists, location drawings, hook-up drawings, cable scheduling, cable set route and terminations, design of instrument rack diagrams, data sheet for various types of field instruments
  • Generation of following technical documents which are not limited to Execution Method statement, P&ID diagrams, Loop drawings, I/O lists, Hook-up drawings, Termination drawings, Instrument specification sheets, Bill of materials, Cable schedule, Junction box schedule, Pneumatic hook-up diagrams, Inter lock-wiring diagrams etc.
  • Experiences in handling integrations
  • Preparation of qualifications, deviations and exception list to client specifications
  • Ability to understand the OEM / subcontractor scope of works and liasing with OEMs related to various systems such as DCS / SCADA / BPCS / FGS / ESD to obtain technically and commercially competent offer, engineering deliverables etc.
  • Prepare MR and datasheets for various instruments and sub-contractor / OEM scope of works Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to integrate instrumentation systems into the overall project scope and design
  • Select and specify Instrument, materials, and installation methods
  • Identify variations in the scope of work and ensure the variations are discussed and agreed with client / subcontractor/vendor technically
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Provide on-site supervision during construction and commissioning phases to ensure instrumentation installations meet design requirements
  • Erection, installation and commissioning of plant instrumentation systems and panels
  • Preparations of MTO/BOQ based on drawings and carry out the constructability study and prepare the activity wise man-hours required for the execution
  • Carry out routine area surveillance of instrumentation erection activities and established field inspection & testing procedures for instrumentation works with the assistance of Site Engineers
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and best practices in offshore instrumentation engineering
  • Adhere with the ARM company policy and ethics

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with local and international standards and codes relevant to onshore and offshore projects, such as AGES, IEC, BS etc.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and adapt to varying conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and be stationed at offshore sites during critical phases of the project
  • B TECH / B.E in (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) with minimum 8 to 10 years of experience working in Oil and Gas Onshore and Offshore Brownfield EPC projects
