Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Safety Officer / Health and Safety Coordinator (HSC) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

Policy Implementation:

  • Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines across the organization.

Risk Assessment:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify workplace hazards.
  • Recommend and implement preventive measures.

Training and Education:

  • Provide safety training to employees.
  • Foster a safety-conscious culture through workshops and communication.

Incident Reporting:

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and corrective actions.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to address non-compliance.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Conduct drills and ensure employees are familiar with evacuation procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Driving License: Possessing a valid driving license is essential for site visits or emergency response situations.
  • NEBOSH Certificate: Having a NEBOSH certificate demonstrates expertise in health and safety management.
  • More Than 3 Years of Experience in Gulf Countries: Experience in Gulf countries provide valuable insights into regional safety challenges and regulations.
