Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Safety Officer / Health and Safety Coordinator (HSC) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
Policy Implementation:
- Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines across the organization.
Risk Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify workplace hazards.
- Recommend and implement preventive measures.
Training and Education:
- Provide safety training to employees.
- Foster a safety-conscious culture through workshops and communication.
Incident Reporting:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and corrective actions.
Compliance Monitoring:
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address non-compliance.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Conduct drills and ensure employees are familiar with evacuation procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications:
- Driving License: Possessing a valid driving license is essential for site visits or emergency response situations.
- NEBOSH Certificate: Having a NEBOSH certificate demonstrates expertise in health and safety management.
- More Than 3 Years of Experience in Gulf Countries: Experience in Gulf countries provide valuable insights into regional safety challenges and regulations.
