Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Officer to join our team in the construction and civil engineering industry. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites and engineering projects. Your expertise will help to create a safe working environment, prevent accidents, and promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE best practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training documentation.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, including safety compliance, incident rates, and environmental impact, to senior management and regulatory bodies.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 to 14 years of experience as an HSE Officer, with a strong focus on the construction and civil engineering industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to construction and civil engineering projects.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
