HR Officer – Site based (Mining) – Confidential Company
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries at the site.
- Manage employee relations issues, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and selection processes for site-based roles.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they receive the necessary training and resources.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process payroll-related information and ensure timely submission to the payroll department.
- Manage attendance records, leave requests, and timesheets.
- Identify training needs for site employees and coordinate relevant training programs.
- Support career development initiatives by assisting with performance appraisals and development plans.
- Ensure site HR practices comply with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in conducting safety briefings and ensuring that health and safety policies are adhered to.
- Prepare and present regular HR reports to the site management team.
- Track and report on key HR metrics, such as absenteeism, turnover, and training completion.
- Organize site-based employee engagement activities to boost morale and job satisfaction.
- Address employee welfare issues, ensuring a supportive environment for all workers.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints and grievances in a timely and fair manner.
- Stay current on HR best practices and industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for talent management and succession planning.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Willing to work site based role (mining Site)
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, particularly in a mining context.
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse workforce is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English .
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
