Freight Expert – Qatar Project Management (QPM)
Responsibilities
- Support the Railway Business Expert and the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities in the development of the rail freight business plan for the GCC Railway.
- Support the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities in discussions with potential future clients.
- Provide expertise in the field of rail freight handling facilities to all levels.
- Develop concepts for freight handling facilities including dimensioning and high-level employer requirements.
- Collaborate with potential future clients in the development of above concepts and consider client requirements.
- Coordinate with security and other relevant government entities.
- Support preparation of tender documents or any other documents required in the procurement process.
Requirements:
- 10 years within international transport and logistics holdings providing railway services as a core business.
- Development of policy and strategy documents, business plans for state-owned railway enterprises with focus on freight and logistics.
- Transport & Logistics Centers Design, Design of Intermodal Terminals and other freight facilities.
- Transport: Combined Transport (Rail+Road) – processes, rolling stock, equipment.
- Logistics: Transport and Logistics Centers design, Design of Intermodal Terminals incl dimensioning, economic modelling, business model design.
- Knowledge of cross border security, immigration, and regulatory processes.
- Knowledge and experience with Arabian Gulf Stakeholder engagement.
- Ideally previously working in freight related projects in Qatar and / or the GCC.
- Excellent skills MS Office
