Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting.
  • Preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting.
  • Implements financial and accounting best practices and oversees critical accounting procedures to ensure legal compliance with financial reporting and banking regulations.
  • Leads planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve investment and accounting goals.
  • Conduct thoroughly cost accounting optimization and cost control practice with subordinates.
  • Manage and Control credit limits and receivable aging with subordinates.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, coaches, assesses, and provides performance feedback to finance team members.
  • Maintains and revises accounting systems as needed.
  • Create, develop, and manage finance policies and procedures.
  • Executes revisions and updates to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate the expansion and scaling of the business and increase transparency and compliance.
  • Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function.
  • Participate in enhancing the ERP applications and owns ultimate responsibility for the Finance ERP.
  • Reviews financial reports and advises corrective action accordingly.
  • Collects and analyzes data to prepare financial forecasts and suggest strategies to address challenges and leverage strengths.
  • Analyzes revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets to optimize profitability and transparency.
  • Assists and supports upper-level management to ensure sound financial decision-making.
  • Studies market trends and section-specific data to maximize profits and growth.
  • Maintains an accurate filing and record-keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Manage taxations and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent assets management, assets utilization, replacement, idling, etc.
  • Guide and coach department heads to enhance financial literacy, including guidance with compiling program budgets and forecasting.
  • Performing adhoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation.
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 20 years of similar experience in an industrial and commercial company in Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in a commerce, business or accounting; MBA degree is a plus.
  • Membership of CPA/ICAA is a plus.
  • Experience managing the annual audit and preparing annual financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing organization’s accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple groups.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented mindset with i-can-do attitude.
  • Ability to enhance working environment, and introduce new ideas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of English and computer literacy.
