Job Description

  • Responsibilities
  • Ensure the secure and accurate financial management of the school accounts and budgets.
  • Maintain the integrity of the accounting system and ensure the school is fully compliant with all accounting protocols both within the organisation and Qatar.
  • Present accurate information and reports need to be presented, as required, to the Executive Principal but also for auditors and head office, as required, to aid strategic planning.
  • Ensure the work of the department is carried out each day, accurately and efficiently and provide all the financial information required by the Chairman, Principal, senior staff and budget holders.
  • Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports.
  • Prepare revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
  • Maintain and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts. • Assist with annual audit preparations.
  • Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, etc.)
  • 5+ years of Financial Management experience.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Previous experience in a school is preferred.
  • Experience using SAGE.
  • Excellent planning and co-ordination skills.
  • Excellent ICT skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people. • Ability to plan, implement and monitor strategies.
  • Ability to take action to ensure the desired results are secured. • Ability to problem solve with imagination and creativity
  • Ability to evaluate information and data effectively, prioritise, plan and implement appropriate interventions.
  • The ability to work under pressure and deal calmly with stressful situations fairly and consistently

Required skills and experience:

Essential:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, etc.)
