Executive Administrative Officer – Dental Clinical Background
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations of the Sport Dentistry Clinics.
- Manage the smooth running of daily Sport Dentistry clinic operations to prompt professional services of the highest standards.
- Implement short, medium, and long-term goals and action plans for the development of the unit and to support organization goals.
- Develop operational and clinical protocols, policies, and work processes to guide decision-making on the dental process of planning, implementation, control and evaluation of clinical care and procedures.
- Conduct audit and review records for accuracy and conformance to policies.
- Plan and supervise meetings and expenses, revenues, advertising, travel accommodation arrangement, advertising & promotional.
- Assist in managing the unit’s budget and ensure optimal utilization of all resources.
- Be responsible to motivate and develop staff, skills, and talents to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist the Director of Sport Dentistry in troubleshooting of various problems arising under administration function.
- Coordinate with the Sport Dentistry GSO to maintain the good image and status of the Sport Dentistry Department and the Hospital.
- Assist the Director of Sport Dentistry in implementation of policies adopted by the management and laws of the State in this regard.
- Collaborate and coordinate with both sports dentistry team members and Clubs/Federations to ensure that
- administrative and clinical procedures and care of patient is carried out in accordance with the doctors’ instructions and the policies and procedures for the best patient care outcome.
- Assist in the development, implementation, review and update of Sport Dentistry departmental policies and procedures as required.
- Promote teamwork, co-operation and harmonious relationship among all personnel, medical staff, and other employees of the Sport Dentistry Department.
- Participate in Committees or workgroups as assigned.
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, to ensure work is completed out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a world class service.
- Ensure cost-efficient usage of all applicable resources to reduce wastage and unnecessary expense.
- Share ideas and viewpoints to further streamline processes, thus driving efficiency and improvements across the organization.
- Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor within the position role and responsibility.
- Patient Safety-Attend and successfully complete competencies which focus on patient safety initiatives implemented within Aspetar Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital. Patient Safety Training is an annual requirement, to include all organizational leaders, staff, service, and contracted providers.
