Estimator-Road Transportation
Job Description
The estimator analyzes a variety of proposals and requirements to prepare cost estimates for their clients. They are usually hired to determine the value of a house, historic item, or some other asset. The estimator provides an appraisal for a client faced with an important purchase or sale decision.
Responsibilities
- 5-10years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in Road, and infra structure in addition to asphalt works in UAE
- Familiar with the construction methodology, process & sequence of work
- Determining key variables for cost and other estimates
- Good relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
- Gather first-hand information from sites, and market
- Have experience/knowledge and/or Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production and etc.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
- Perform risk analysis
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- Proficient in relevant software (CAD and CANDY or similar software)
- Knowledge of contracts
