Engineer – MR (Facade) – Confidential Company
Responsibilities
Coordinate and timely process of material reservations based on project requirements. Material Reservation:
- Prepare and process material requisitions based on project requirements after IFC review ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and validate requisition details after completion of fabrication drawings, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
- Ensure that the product materials are utilized effectively, and wastage can be reduced
- Update the Material Reservation in RBS Software and prepare Production Indent and release Fabrication Design to production.
- Coordinate with the project management team for demand forecasting and manage discrepancies with the IFC Team.
Inventory Control:
- Track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials, avoiding shortages or excess.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Provide timely updates to the Procurement for purchasing of the materials
- Inform stores of new powder coating requirements.
- Coordination with the project management team, IFC review, fabrication design, estimation, and production team to address discrepancies & clarifications.
Team Support & Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in Daily Standup Meetings (DSM) to review progress, address issues, and align on daily goals.
- Actively contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance design processes and outcomes.
Reports:
- Maintain detailed records of IFC & Fabrication designs, approvals, and revisions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of material requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory records.
- Provide regular updates on the status of material requisition, including risk analysis.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in material management, or a similar role, preferably in the construction or facades industry.
- Skilled in preparation of production indents and release of fabrication design
- Ability to track and monitor inventory levels.
- Able to interpretate the data and quantify materials.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Effectively manages stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in material management software and inventory control systems.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
