Job Description
Monitors patients electrocardiogram and reports rhythm disturbances to physician. Monitors and records intracardiac and intravascular pressures. Utilizes all appropriate equipment and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures under the guidance of a physician.
- Operating and maintaining electrophysiology equipment and ensuring its proper functioning.
- Assisting in the insertion and removal of catheters and other devices during procedures.
- Monitoring and analyzing patient data, including EKG and intracardiac electrograms.
- Assisting in the interpretation of test results and providing accurate documentation.
- Maintaining sterile field during procedures to prevent infection.
- Educating patients and their families on the procedures and post-procedure care.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Participating in research and development activities to advance the field of electrophysiology.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in electrophysiology technology.
