Responsibilities
- Support the site manager regarding electrical installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment across various projects in the region.
- Guide and educate sub-contractors with installation best practices.
- Support the proposals department with inputs for upcoming projects and share previously learned lessons.
- Coordinate with the Construction and Procurement departments to identify the tools and consumables required for the site execution.
- Analyze the specification and design drawings and other materials needed for the electrical installation as per the approved material submittals.
- Research, design, develop, and test electrical industrial control systems; create electrical design documents for parts, assemblies, and products.
- Be a technical project leader by taking full ownership of deliverables.
- Manage and ensure that all project quality procedures applicable to design are being followed, this enables all aspects of the project to be achieved towards meeting design needs and ultimate customer satisfaction.
- Develop knowledge of engineering-based CAD software to complete and modify drawings.
- Preparation of work packages for the site installation teams. Monitoring and reporting of site progress.
- Supporting the quality team with inspections, closing out snag points and eventual handover to the client.
- Responsible for following occupational health, safety, security, environment and quality.
