Job Description
Document Controller is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents; control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects or departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Submittals both in hardcopy and softcopy such as Material Submittals, Shop Drawing, Correspondences, RFI’s, CVI’s, Method Statement and other related Projects Contract Documentation.
- Day to day update and Data Entry of Incoming and Outgoing submittals and approvals in all Log Registers.
- Ensure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors, and vendors as applicable.
- Maintaining project correspondence (hard and softcopies) which can be stored, tracked, retrieved, archived and indexed efficiently as per ISO (Quality Management System).
- Expedites replies and counter checking of discrepancies to unanswered correspondence, invoices, submittals, etc. to client.
- Assisting for preparation of close out documentation such as Operation & Maintenance Manuals
