Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Control & Security Operator to join our team. As a Control & Security Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our organization by monitoring and managing all security and access control systems. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by closely monitoring CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems, promptly addressing any security breaches or emergencies that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to calmly and effectively respond to high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage security and access control systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control panels.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of all security systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services to report incidents and escalate emergencies as required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related activities and incidents.
- Provide training to staff on security protocols and procedures, ensuring a high level of awareness and compliance.
- Stay up to date with the latest security technologies and industry best practices, making recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-security environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control panels.
- Ability to make quick and effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during long and monotonous monitoring tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Valid driver's license.
