Responsibilities
Food Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes.
- Perform basic cooking tasks such as chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients.
Cooking:
- Cook and plate dishes according to the standards set by the Head Chef.
- Ensure that food is cooked and presented in an appealing and timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items and seasonal offerings.
Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Assist in the daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety and hygiene standards.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with senior chefs and other team members.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
Inventory and Stock Management:
- Assist in monitoring and managing food stock levels.
- Report any shortages or quality issues to senior chefs.
- Assist in the proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
