Civil Estimation Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with civil projects, including materials, labor, and overheads. Additionally, proficiency in MEP estimation will be advantageous. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of 5-7 years in cost estimation and a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- • Prepare accurate take-off and cost estimates for Civil disciplines, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that cost estimates align with project objectives and timelines.
- Evaluate and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Focus on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform cost estimation processes.
- Prepare, organize, consolidate, and present the cost estimates to cost estimation lead and management as required for final review.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements with subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide support during the bid preparation process, including technical proposal preparation, reviewing bid documents, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Participate in the Job explanation meetings and provide ongoing support to project teams as needed.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate implementation of estimated costs during project execution where required.
- Prepare commercial rack ups to help informative decisions for final selection.
- Coordinate with vendor post tender clarification to technical qualifications.
- Assist the management for post tender commercial negotiations with client and vendors.
- Assist the project and procurement team after award / in the initial phase of the project.
- Continuously update and maintain a database of cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and reliability
