- Manage the procurement process for civil engineering projects, including tender preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and contractors, and evaluate their capabilities and suitability for the project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to determine procurement needs and specifications, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Monitor and track supplier and contractor performance, and address any issues or non-compliance in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review legal contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to procurement and tendering in the civil engineering sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions to achieve cost savings and project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and project management, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of procurement activities.
- Provide regular reports and updates on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and project timelines.
