Job Description

The CFO is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. Their duties include tracking cash flow, analyzing strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective action plans when necessary and preparing accurate forecasts so that management can make informed decisions about future investments or cuts.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy, aligned with the overall business objectives. Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports and analysis. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on financial performance and market trends.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess and manage financial risks. Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Investment and Financing: Evaluate investment opportunities, manage capital structure and lead fundraising efforts. Oversee mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic initiatives.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate and collaborate with the director. Build strong relationships to support the company’s strategic goals.

Skills Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance preferred.
  • Certifications: CPA, CFA, CMA or equivalent professional certifications highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial software (preferable SMACC Accounting System).
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
  • Ethics and Integrity: High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism. Strong commitment to compliance and corporate governance.
