Job Description
Buyer (Procurement Department)
On behalf of the world’s largest restaurant chain, we are hiring a Buyer for their Riyadh headquarters.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for purchasing quality products and services for the construction department, including processing purchase orders and contract agreements, negotiating with suppliers and contractors for the best prices and purchase terms, and tracking orders.
- Handling the procurement of materials & services for the Construction & Procurement departments.
- Receiving the Purchase Requisition from the construction & procurement departments and discussing with them to ensure full understanding of the requirements.
- Searching for suitable vendors.
- Sending RFQ’s or RFP’s and following to get the quotations.
- Negotiating the deal with the vendors.
- Crafting purchase order.
- Working within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the project objectives.
- Providing a regular report for the management on the status of orders.
- Liaise for transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with materials/services receivers to assess quality and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Assisting the Construction department, and the A&I team in maintaining inventory levels on a regular basis.
- Working with Construction Department for Budget forecast.
- Work with Procurement Manager for Spend Analysis for the Construction Department.
- Conducting market surveys and providing advice about market trends and alternatives.
Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Procurement of Construction and Building materials
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Procurement / Supply Chain Management, or similar field-related skills.
- Business & Financial Acumen.
- Solid analytical and computer skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in ERP systems.
- Result Driven.
- Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.
- Communication and Presentation Skills.
