Job Description
A poultry farm employee assists in daily operations on the farm. This can include checking birds, collecting eggs and feeding.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a broiler farm, including monitoring the health and welfare of the birds.
- Manage and train farm staff, ensuring they follow proper procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of bird inventory, feed consumption, and other relevant data. Implement biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain the health of the flock.
- Monitor and adjust environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, to optimize bird growth and productivity.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of feed and other necessary inputs.
- Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.
- Monitor market trends and adjust production levels to meet demand. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of farm staff.
- Stay informed about industry developments and adopt best practices to improve farm efficiency and profitability.
