BAKERY CHEF / PASTRY CHEF – Artisan District Food Factory

Responsibilities
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Head Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role in a luxury hotel, bakery, or high-end restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and pastry arts
  • Creative flair with the ability to develop and execute new and seasonal menu items
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Certification from a culinary school or apprenticeship program is preferred
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Locally available in Qatar with valid QID and NOC
  • Can join immediately
  • Knowledge of different types of bread and pastries
  • Understanding of various baking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Great attention to detail and creativity
  • Organizing and leadership skills
  • Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
  • In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
  • Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
  • Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • BS degree in culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
