Aramco Approved Quality Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Aramco Approved Quality Manager to join our offshore fabrication team within the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the quality assurance and control processes, ensuring all products and operations comply with Aramco’s stringent standards and industry regulations. This role requires a hands-on approach, extensive experience in offshore fabrication, and a deep understanding of Aramco quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with Aramco standards and ISO 9001. Ensure compliance across all fabrication processes.
- Inspection and Compliance: Lead inspection and testing activities to ensure all materials, products, and procedures meet Aramco specifications and safety regulations. Coordinate with Aramco representatives for regular audits and inspections.
- Document Control: Manage documentation related to quality control processes, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and audits. Ensure all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall product quality. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on quality audits and customer feedback.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of quality control engineers and inspectors. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
- Supplier Quality Management: Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure suppliers and subcontractors adhere to Aramco's quality requirements. Conduct supplier evaluations and audits as needed.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for Aramco and other major clients on quality-related issues. Participate in client meetings, provide updates on quality performance, and promptly address any concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with industry standards, Aramco regulations, and safety protocols. Stay informed about updates to regulations and ensure the company’s practices remain compliant.
- Project-Specific Quality Plans: Develop and implement quality plans for specific projects, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, and quality assurance strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed quality reports for senior management and clients, analyzing data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. -Aramco-approved Quality Manager certification is required. - 5-10 years of quality management experience in the oil and gas offshore fabrication industry. - In-depth knowledge of Aramco standards, ISO 9001, and relevant industry regulations. - Proven experience in leading quality assurance/control processes and teams. - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in quality management tools and software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing quality for offshore fabrication projects. Six Sigma Green Belt or similar quality certification. Familiarity with project management principles in a multinational context.
