Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our retail team. In this role, you will manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping to support our retail operations. Your expertise in accounting principles and practices will be essential in maintaining financial integrity and facilitating informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including general ledger entries and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and manage tax-related documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and address any issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software
