The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. This role involves ensuring that all operational aspects run smoothly and efficiently, managing staff, and helping to develop and implement operational strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning and coordinating operational activities.
  • Monitor daily operations and address any issues that arise promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Staff Management:

  • Supervise and support operational staff, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff members.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement changes to operational procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of new processes and make adjustments as needed.

Resource Management:

  • Assist in managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate supply of materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues, providing solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve customer service.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operational role, with F&B experience

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
