Job Description

An Accountant helps businesses make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Assists in maintaining the general ledger including monthly and year-end reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolution of reconciling items on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that all financial statement schedules are prepared monthly to tally with each line item of the financial statements.
  • Monitor and review the sub-ledger activities prior of inclusion into general ledger and preparation of financial statements.
  • To conduct sampling and testing for each sub-ledger activities at each monthly reporting period.
  • Conduct semi-annual or as and when required for spot check of inventory balance and reconciles discrepancies.
  • Act as point of contact for external, internal, and state auditors and deliver required documents as needed.
  • Analyze audit reports and report’s findings to direct supervisor and management.
  • Monitor accounts payable and account receivable process.
  • Ensure receipt of invoices from departments and accurate record of inventory information into financial systems.
  • Ensure that appropriate authorized signatories are obtained before initiating the approval for payment of invoices.
  • Ensure accurate recording of account receivables to Patient Account's record into the financial system and obtain collection of payments on daily basis.
  • Assist with the implementation, delivery, and update of ERP system.
  • Recommend improving working practices as appropriate.
  • Analyze & investigate inventory discrepancies identified in year-end physical stock-takes from past to current year-Inventory management.
  • Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor within the position role and responsibility.
