AWP Technician
Job Description
Guildhall is seeking a skilled and experienced AWP Technician to join a prominent machinery manufacturing company based in Sharjah. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record in maintaining and repairing aerial work platforms (AWPs) to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As the AWP Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of aerial work platforms, ensuring they operate at peak performance and comply with safety standards. You will be part of a dedicated team that ensures all machinery is fully functional and meets high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of aerial work platforms, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues, identifying faults and carrying out timely repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and service reports.
• Work with the operations team to schedule and prioritize service tasks and minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment is tested and calibrated to meet both company and industry safety and operational standards.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Assist in training junior technicians and provide technical support when needed.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers for parts procurement and technical guidance.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an AWP Technician or in a similar maintenance role, specializing in aerial work platforms (scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems involved in aerial work platform operation.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair faults in complex systems.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards for AWP equipment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail.
• UAE driving license is a plus.
• Certification in AWP maintenance or related fields is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
