Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting a safe work environment. Experience in the oil and gas and civil sectors is mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • HSE Strategy and Policy Development
  • Develop, implement, and manage HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for all operational activities.
  • Oversee incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Safety Training and Awareness
  • Design and implement HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and competency.
  • Conduct regular safety drills, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all HSE regulations specific to the oil and gas and civil sectors.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are maintained.
  • Monitoring and Reporting
  • Develop and manage HSE performance indicators and regularly report on key metrics to management.
  • Prepare HSE reports, including incident statistics, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Emergency Response
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring they are practical and effective.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services to ensure prompt response during incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify areas for HSE improvements.
  • Lead initiatives to improve HSE standards and practices, ensuring best-in-class safety culture.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor the HSE team, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE practices across all operational activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in HSE management within the oil and gas and civil sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices in the oil and gas and civil sectors.
  • Proven track record in risk assessment, safety audits, and emergency response management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are preferred.

Work Conditions:

  • Frequent travel to project sites and operational locations.
  • On-call availability for HSE-related emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO600.000 - RO750.000 per month
