Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting a safe work environment. Experience in the oil and gas and civil sectors is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- HSE Strategy and Policy Development
- Develop, implement, and manage HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for all operational activities.
- Oversee incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Safety Training and Awareness
- Design and implement HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and competency.
- Conduct regular safety drills, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all HSE regulations specific to the oil and gas and civil sectors.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are maintained.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Develop and manage HSE performance indicators and regularly report on key metrics to management.
- Prepare HSE reports, including incident statistics, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Emergency Response
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring they are practical and effective.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services to ensure prompt response during incidents.
- Continuous Improvement
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify areas for HSE improvements.
- Lead initiatives to improve HSE standards and practices, ensuring best-in-class safety culture.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the HSE team, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE practices across all operational activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in HSE management within the oil and gas and civil sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices in the oil and gas and civil sectors.
- Proven track record in risk assessment, safety audits, and emergency response management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are preferred.

Work Conditions:
- Frequent travel to project sites and operational locations.
- On-call availability for HSE-related emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RO600.000 - RO750.000 per month
