General Foreman in Contracting – LOFT CONTRACTING LLC
Responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership
- Lead and supervise on-site construction crews, ensuring productivity and quality.
- Coordinate the daily activities of workers and subcontractors.
- Project Management
- Collaborate with project managers to establish project schedules and timelines.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Quality Control
- Monitor work for adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Safety Management
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards on the job site.
- Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact between management, clients, and subcontractors.
- Report on project progress, challenges, and updates to management.
- Resource Management
- Ensure that materials and equipment are available and in good working condition.
- Manage labor resources efficiently to optimize productivity.
- Training and Development
- Mentor and train crew members, promoting skills development and safety awareness.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
