The Admissions and Registration Directorate invites applications for the position of Testing Coordinator. Reporting to the Head, Testing Center, the Testing Coordinator must possess the skills and expertise necessary to support the Admissions and Registration Directorate of the University and fully implementing UDST’s mission and vision.
 

This position requires an energetic and meticulous individual who will coordinate and administer tests at the UDST Testing Center, and ensure effective and efficient operation, in accordance with UDST policies and procedures. She/He will also support the Head, Testing Center to plan and deliver required placement tests for prospective students, students and prospective employees. The successful candidate will support the arrangement of staffing provision to meet testing commitments, and make sure that all staff are appropriately trained and contribute to the development and updating of clear policies and procedures, ensuring quality delivery of testing. The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service to candidates and prospective candidates, ensuring accurate and timely response to enquiries, complaints and appeals. The successful candidate will manage the application process ensuring capacity requirements are adhered to, fees are received and any required documentation is sent to each candidate in advance of the test. She/He will liaise with Finance regarding fee payments and records, to ensure compliance with UDST financial procedures. The successful candidate will coordinate the usage and training of all testing related systems, ensure consistent use and data entry. She/He will conduct pre-test planning, test-day and post-test administration and monitoring, ensuring all tests run smoothly and to resolve problems or queries and oversee test preparation to ensure appropriate room set up, equipment availability, documentation provision and effective logistical arrangements. The successful candidate will register and verify identity of candidates on test dates to defend against fraud or attempts by candidates to cheat and liaise with examiners, invigilators and markers to distribute and collect tests and to preserve the security and integrity of the test. She/He will also will implement procedures for breaches of security or evidence of cheating, to ensure the integrity of the test, and to maintain Center accreditation, liaising with relevant authorities as appropriate.   The successful candidate will liaise with IT to ensure that test machines are kept in working order, and that all urgent technical issues are resolved quickly and manage results administration, ensure the timely and accurate recording, imputing, storing and distribution of test results to candidates and relevant UDST stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure all test and accurate reports to contribute to Testing Center reporting requirements and ensure all test materials are acquired, stored and destroyed in accordance with UDST policies. She/He will manage the maintenance of confidentiality of all testing and candidate data and documents, ensure secure handling and storage, in compliance with information management standards, data protection policies and relevant legislation. The successful candidate will liaise with the marketing and communications to add and amend testing related content on the UDST website, ensure up-to-date and relevant information is available for candidates. The successful candidate will participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with testing standards, and provide feedback and suggestions based on audit reports The successful candidate will support and assist the IELTS Administrator and the Testing Center team to meet center projections and goals in compliance with IELTS standards and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.     Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor degree in a relevant field is required
 

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of testing coordination experience

 

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English language required

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred
 
Other Required Skills:
Highly detail oriented, can-do attitude to work and good time management is preferred. Candidate should be team player with focus on service excellence.
