Electrical Engineer – Wipro Limited
Responsibilities
- Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical Design/Engineering across project phases; Conceptual-pre FEED / Detail Engineering related to Oil-Gas/Petrochemical project.
- Extensive experience working on Electrical High Voltage System - Design and Engineering within depth knowledge of ETAP/other electrical power system software and exposure to International/Saudi Aramco Standards would be preferred.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop equipment/substation layouts based on Hazardous area and other engineering criteria.
- Perform Electrical Equipment sizing calculations and selection of equipment based on applicable standards and local client standards
- Develop LV/MV raceway design, OHL distribution system design (13.8 to 34.5kv).
- Develop equipment specifications- cables, bulk materials, transformers, switchgears, control gear and all the necessary supporting calculations and deliverables.
- Participate in Design Review Meetings, Vendor Meetings and lead technical workshops. Act as Technical Authority on the subject.
- For Off-shore, advantage considered for candidate with required off-shore safety training
- Develop complete Electrical Power Distribution System for Oil-Gas/Petrochemical project involving AIS design, GIS design and related requirements.
- Select Power Distribution scheme and Bus Bar arrangements. Perform Techno Commercial studies for these selections including life cycle cost analysis.
- Perform Power System Studies like Load Flow/Short Circuit/Transient Analysis/Harmonics in Electrical software.
- Specify the Protection Schemes for Power Distribution System and carry out Protection Settings and Relay coordination curves.
- Develop MV/LV power distribution system typical to hydrocarbon plants.
- Develop specification and scope of work for material/services tendering process and conduct Technical Bid Analysis, review vendor documents.
- Familiar with HV power system concerns and mitigation studies
- Good exposure to equipment installation practices, site construction concerns and mitigation.
- New electrical cable sizing, new circuit breaker sizing, new cable tray and new electrical equipment
- Upgrading existing electric motors.

- Preparation of engineering and design packages, including layout drawings, data sheets and BOM.
- Cathodic protection.
Software proficiency Proficient in power system software used for distribution system studies like ETAP Proficient in Smart Plant Electrical , MicroStation, Microsoft office.
