Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role within the Food & Beverages industry.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers/vendors to ensure the timely procurement of high-quality ingredients, materials, and supplies.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company while maintaining quality standards.
- Procurement: Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all purchased items meet the company's quality and safety standards.
- Cost Management: Analyse market trends, monitor pricing fluctuations, and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce expenses.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing information. Generate regular reports on procurement activities, budget adherence, and inventory levels.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments including Operations, Finance, and Culinary to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with company goals.
