Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking a variety of Indian & Arabic dishes according to traditional recipes.
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes according to traditional recipes and standards.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented in a visually appealing manner.
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate new recipes and techniques into the menu.
- Adapt recipes and menus to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a positive dining experience for guests.
- Ensuring all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Monitoring food quality and ensuring high standards are met.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Following all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Staying updated on current food trends and incorporating them into menu offerings.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Qualifications: Proven experience as an Arabic cook.
- Certifications: Food handling and safety certifications preferred.
- Years of Work Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Nationality Preference: Arabic nationality preferred.
- Language Requirements: Fluent in Arabic, with basic English communication skills.
- Technical and Hard Skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques and familiar with traditional Arabic ingredients.
- Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Personal Qualities and Physical Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and physical stamina.
