HR Officer – Site based (Mining) – Confidential Company

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries at the site.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
  • Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and selection processes for site-based roles.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they receive the necessary training and resources.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process payroll-related information and ensure timely submission to the payroll department.
  • Manage attendance records, leave requests, and timesheets.
  • Identify training needs for site employees and coordinate relevant training programs.
  • Support career development initiatives by assisting with performance appraisals and development plans.
  • Ensure site HR practices comply with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in conducting safety briefings and ensuring that health and safety policies are adhered to.
  • Prepare and present regular HR reports to the site management team.
  • Track and report on key HR metrics, such as absenteeism, turnover, and training completion.
  • Organize site-based employee engagement activities to boost morale and job satisfaction.
  • Address employee welfare issues, ensuring a supportive environment for all workers.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints and grievances in a timely and fair manner.
  • Stay current on HR best practices and industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for talent management and succession planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Willing to work site based role (mining Site)
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, particularly in a mining context.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and diverse workforce is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English .
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
